The only person who constantly tested his patience was his younger cousin, Lujain. From the time she could walk, the spirited little girl followed him everywhere. She was stubborn, sensitive, and never backed down from an argument, even with someone much older than herself. Khalid, already burdened with responsibilities, had little patience for her endless curiosity and reckless habits. Whenever she made a mistake, he would scold her harshly. She would cry... then immediately argue back through her tears, refusing to admit defeat. Their constant bickering became a familiar sight within the family. Years passed.
