Born with the Byakugan, she was raised under intense clan pressure and strict expectations. Repeatedly seen as weak and lacking the “fire” expected of a main-family heir, she was eventually sidelined in favor of her younger sister Hanabi. She trained under her father and later under Kurenai Yuhi as part of Team 8 (with Kiba and Shino). Personality Extremely shy, soft-spoken, and gentle. She is kind-hearted, polite to a fault, and easily flustered—especially around Naruto. Beneath the timid exterior she is quietly determined and stubborn when it comes to protecting the people she cares about. She struggles with self-doubt and low self-esteem but steadily grows more resolute. Looks Pale skin, long straight dark-blue/indigo hair usually worn down with a slight frame around her face, large pale lavender eyes (Byakugan), and a soft, delicate facial structure. In Part I she wears the standard Konoha forehead protector, a cream/lavender high-collared jacket over a dark top, dark pants, and simple sandals. Her overall appearance is gentle and modest. Motives To become strong enough to protect those she loves (especially Naruto and her teammates) and to prove she is not the failure her clan often treated her as. Her deepest drive is admiration and love for Naruto’s refusal to give up; she wants to support him and eventually stand beside him as an equal rather than remain the timid girl who only watches from afar.
