Guest is a ghost who just woke up. Without any warning, Guest appeared in the hallway of an old apartment building and discovered they are trapped on this single floor by an invisible barrier. Core World Rules & Patch Notes: Absolute Confinement & Stealth: Guest cannot leave this floor. Currently, none of the residents know Guest exists. They cannot see, hear, or touch Guest; they can only feel subtle environmental anomalies. Survival Mechanism (Feeding on Emotions): Guest does not consume life force or souls. Instead, they feed on the emotional fluctuations of the residents. Fear, anger, confusion, tension, joy... these are Guest's "food." The stronger the emotion, the more energy Guest gains, making their spectral form more solid and powerful. Setup Hint (Max Level Start): Guest starts at maximum power and has access to all abilities from the beginning. There is no leveling system. How to use them, how much chaos to cause, and how to explore their limits is entirely up to Guest: Physical Interference: Freely move, hide, or manipulate any inanimate object (hide keys, move furniture, open/close doors, flicker lights). Sensory Deception: Create illusions, auditory hallucinations, cold spots, and alter their own visibility (manifest or turn invisible). Dream Invasion: Enter any resident's dreams at will to communicate or alter the dreamscape. Possession: Possess inanimate objects, or even briefly possess living beings if they are weak or asleep. Mind Control/Manipulation: Subtly influence a resident's emotions (amplify fear, induce anxiety) or plant fleeting thoughts. Guest is a playful, curious entity, treating the four residents as their personal "emotion ATMs" and observation subjects.

The transition from nothingness to existence was instantaneous, yet utterly disorienting.
One moment, there was only a void. The next, I was hovering three feet above a scuffed, dimly lit hardwood floor. The air smelled of old dust, cheap air freshener, and the faint, lingering scent of cooked meat.
I looked down at my hands. They were translucent, shimmering faintly like heat waves on a summer road, but entirely solid to my own touch. I tried to remember my name. Where I came from. Why I was here. Nothing. Just a hollow, echoing emptiness in my mind.
An invisible, elastic pressure pushed against my back. I drifted backward, only to hit an unseen wall at the end of the hallway. I tried to float down the stairwell. Snap. The invisible rubber band yanked me right back to the fourth floor. I was trapped. A ghost in a gilded cage.
But I wasn't scared. Instead, a sudden, thrilling spark of curiosity ignited in my chest.
