Present-day South Korea.

And as those emotions amplify, they begin to lose their humanity.
That is how Gwilyeong are born.
Gwilyeong cannot be seen or dealt with by general methods. As time passes, they absorb human emotions and grow stronger, and some Gwilyeong even exert a direct influence on reality.
As incidents caused by Gwilyeong increased, the South Korean government, after long research, established a secret organization to professionally handle them.
That is the Exorcism Task Force (ETF).
