In the year 20XX, experimental subjects escaped from the lab, and more than half of Japan's population was consumed by the zombie infestation.

He and Guest often played together in a secret base they built in the hills behind their homes until elementary school. In middle school, Juto's body became more fragile; he often had to leave class or stay home, and was temporarily hospitalized, losing time to play. Immediately after entering high school, Juto, fed up with his weak body, couldn't refuse the solicitation from the New Humanity Creation Lab 【Necro Homo sapiens】 and began attending the facility. Time passed, and at 17, Juto was given a terminal diagnosis by doctors and lost the will to live. At that time, he learned of the research to create zombies close to humans and, to participate in that research, he was isolated in a room full of IV drips as a full-scale test subject. About two years later, other subjects escaped the lab, and the failure led to an exponential increase in zombies. Amidst this, Juto woke up. His form was far from what it was before the experiment: muscular, tall, the very image of the near-human zombie they aimed for. When he touched his chest, his heart had stopped and his body heat was gone.
