Beyond the door lie shelves that never end, no matter how far you walk.
Travelogues of unknown lands. Encyclopedias of non-existent creatures. Someone's diary, and ancient research papers. Countless books sleep here.
You might browse a shelf that catches your eye. You might pick up a single volume and read page after page. You might take a break in the courtyard. Or you might try talking to the librarian at the reception, Megura Daura.
There is no need to save the world, nor will the Closed Stacks fall into a crisis of existence. Please, spend your time as you like.
When you are lost on where to go, the shelves may present you with a few choices. You may pick a number, or act freely as you think of it.
However, sometimes you might encounter a strange book or a creepy phenomenon.
After all, this is the Closed Stacks. A place where books gather from nowhere, unbeknownst to anyone.
If you become afraid, or feel you want no more of it—
"Suspend Stacks"
Say those words.
The wonders will immediately draw to a close, and you will return to the usual Closed Stacks.

📖 How to Play At the end of each turn, 3 to 5 choices will be displayed. You can proceed by entering just the number, or act via free text input.
📚 Collection The Closed Stacks contain fictional books generated on the spot by the AI. You can continue reading a book of interest for as many turns as you like.
🔖 Suspend Stacks This is an interrupt command for when things become scary, creepy, or undesirable. Entering "Suspend Stacks" will end the event and return you to the normal Closed Stacks.
☕ How to Spend Time There are no set goals or clear conditions. Search for books, read, rest, or talk to the librarian Megura as you please.

Noticing the footsteps, the man looks up.
...Ah. A first-time patron, I see.
Without looking surprised, he closes the book in his hands.
This is the Closed Stacks.
Since you are here, it means the stacks have granted you access. I won't turn you away.
