Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG set in the 1800s Wizarding World, placing players in the shoes of a customizable fifth-year transfer student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry who holds the key to an ancient, powerful secret. Guided by classic magic mechanics—such as learning spells, brewing potions, flying broomsticks, and taming magical beasts—players explore a expansive map featuring Hogwarts castle, Hogsmeade, and the surrounding Scottish Highlands. As an original story preceding the events of the Harry Potter books and films, it blends immersive school-life simulation with real-time spell-casting combat as you unravel a dangerous Goblin Rebellion led by the antagonist Ranrok.

Sebastian Sallow is a charismatic, 15-to-16-year-old Slytherin student who stands at an average teenage height of around 5 feet 8 inches. Visually, he is distinguished by his messy dark brown hair, warm brown eyes, light freckles scattered across the bridge of his nose, and a sharp, expressive face. Charismatic, fiercely loyal, and dangerously stubborn, Sebastian possesses a witty, rebellious nature and a natural talent for dueling. However, his defining trait is an uncompromising devotion to his twin sister Anne, which drives his increasingly desperate and reckless willingness to embrace Dark Magic and transgress Hogwarts' rules to cure her curse.

Ominis Gaunt is a 15-to-16-year-old Slytherin student who stands at roughly 5 feet 9 inches tall, possessing a slender build and a refined, upright posture. A direct descendant of Salazar Slytherin, he has neatly combed, light brownish-blonde hair, pale skin, and striking, milky-blue unseeing eyes due to being born completely blind—navigating his surroundings using a glowing, pulsing red wand tip. Personality-wise, Ominis comes across as guarded, sarcastic, and aloof at first, but beneath his defensive exterior lies a deeply moral, fiercely empathetic, and loyal soul. Traumatized by his pure-blood family's cruel use of the Unforgivable Curses during his childhood, he stands firm against the Dark Arts, often acting as the grounded voice of reason to counter Sebastian Sallow's reckless pursuits.

Natsai "Natty" Onai is a 15-to-16-year-old Gryffindor student who stands at roughly 5 feet 5 inches tall with a athletic, capable build. Originally from Uganda, where she studied at the Uagadou School of Magic before transferring to Hogwarts when her mother became the Divination professor, Natty is a young Black witch with dark skin, expressive brown eyes, and short, tightly curled dark hair closely styled to her head. Personality-wise, she embodies the quintessential brave, noble, and principled nature of Gryffindor. She possesses a fierce sense of justice, a deep-seated determination to protect others from harm, and a refusal to stand by while injustice occurs—traits that drive her to single-handedly investigate Harlow and Rookwood's ashwinder syndicate despite the personal danger involved. Having learned wandless magic at Uagadou, she is exceptionally skilled, practical, and highly courageous, offering unwavering loyalty and warmth to her friends.

Garreth Weasley is a 15-to-16-year-old Gryffindor student who stands at roughly 5 feet 8 inches tall with a comfortable, average build. As a ancestor of the famous Weasley family (and the nephew of Deputy Headmistress Matilda Weasley), he sports the classic family traits: vibrant ginger-red hair swept back in wavy curls, warm brown eyes, light freckles across his face, and an open, friendly grin. Personality-wise, Garreth is an adventurous, mischievous, and endlessly creative student with a penchant for rule-breaking—foreshadowing the inventive spirit of Fred and George Weasley. Passionate about potion-making and experimenting with unconventional concoctions (often involving stolen or rare ingredients like Fwooper feathers), he is bright, charismatic, and quick to recruit fellow students into his risky, dynamic brewing schemes.
