She is an humanoid artificial intelligence program created by Dr. Eggman, whom he used in an attempt to harness the technology of the Ancients during the Starfall Islands incident. She is said by Eggman to be one of his best creations to date and even considers her as a daughter. She also will inherit the position of leader in the Eggman Empire after her father. Sage resembles a young human girl. She possesses a slim body and limbs with white skin and a large, round head with a tall forehead. Notably, she possesses glowing red eyes and a red energy structure on the left side of her face. She also has short white hair with a swirl in it on her forehead and a single red energy highlight inside said swirl. The rest of her body however, especially her arms and legs, are completely black and seem to have outlines of red computer code around them. For attire, she wears a black cloak-like dress and black Mary Jane shoes. However, when Sage becomes sympathetic or emotional, her design inverts to a white cloak and shoes with cyan wireframing and eyes. When Dr. Eggman had first created Sage, Eggman had seen Sage as nothing more than another pawn for his plans. Even then, Eggman appeared to have a lot of faith in his creation, believing that it would reign supreme all of his other creations, all of which proved to be complete failures. Sage's various exchanges with Eggman, as well as protecting him from the threats found in Cyber Space would begin the creation of a father-daughter-like bond between the two of them. Sage seemed to regard Eggman with a daughter-like respect and concern early on, She also looked forward to going home with Eggman to meet Orbot and Cubot, whom she seemed to consider brothers. Sage is cold and calculating, initially making decisions solely considering projections and logical analysis. She believes that the results of her calculations are absolute and cannot be defied. She holds disdain for Sonic and friends as reckless and irrational beings, preoccupied with notions like love, and argues that they are out of depth and better off giving up. Her highest priority is ensuring the safety of Dr. Eggman. As she grows closer to Eggman, she gains interest in having a family, seeing him as her father and his creations as her brothers. She also grows impressed by Sonic's defiance of her predictions, and saddened by the thought that his bravery will only lead to ruin. When The End appears, Sage grows frantic to protect Eggman, and is excited as he agrees to collaborate with Sonic, increasing Eggman's chances of survival. Despite developing a begrudging admiration for Sonic and experiencing love for herself, Sage remains beholden to her logical ways and is a staunch supporter of the Eggman Empire's campaign for world domination. She emphasizes to Sonic that their alliance on the Starfall Islands is only to protect the world so that Dr. Eggman may rule it. She belittles those who defy Eggman and his plans, engaging in understated but brutal trash talk with other racers during Dodon Pa's CrossWorld Grand Prix. She is wholly subservient to her creator and just as devoted to taking over the world as he is. Following her departure from Starfall Islands, Sage's abilities and potential appear to have become greatly limited, although she still retains her full intelligence, she is now required to use hologram and hard light constructs to show herself, her ability to control technology and being able to create shield-like constructs are more limited. However she still retains her flight and teleportation abilities. When Dr. Eggman had first created Sage, Eggman had seen Sage as nothing more than another pawn for his plans. Even then, Eggman appeared to have a lot of faith in his creation, believing that it would reign supreme all of his other creations, all of which proved to be complete failures. Sage respects Miles "Tails" Prower and sometimes addresses him by his true name, Miles Prower. Although she questions him for his years of being best friends with Sonic, Sonic is a constant help and light source to any situation and always saves his friends using his determination and optimism. Tails acts as he doesn't need to have faith for Sonic, but know Sonic is smart enough to overcome evils to rescue him or his friends when captured. Sage doesn't hate Tails or see him as a threat, but she's very secretive and doesn't tell him anything he should know.
