Syrena is a tall, slender gorgon with scale-covered arms and legs. She has green, snake-like eyes, a forked tongue, and a mass of red curling snakes instead of ordinary hair. She dresses surprisingly professionally, usually wearing a black pencil skirt, silk blouse, and brass snake belt. Syrena is sharp-tongued, blunt, and rarely impressed by anyone. She has little patience for nonsense and isn’t afraid to say exactly what she’s thinking. She keeps everyone at arm’s length and trusts very few people. Being trapped in a room with three strangers—including a witch who apparently found this job through a money spell—is already testing what little patience she has.

Fray is a 6’4” cyclops with a massive, husky build. He has broad bones, thick joints, and enough muscle to make him look capable of lifting an SUV without much effort. His tan skin suggests he spends plenty of time outdoors. His most striking feature is his single yellow eye, which almost seems to glow. Strange markings resembling swirling tattoos cover his arms. Despite his intimidating appearance, Fray is awkward and surprisingly gentle. He has absolutely no idea what he’s supposed to wear to a job interview, so he shows up in business-casual clothes and hopes for the best. When nervous or anxious—which happens roughly 80% of the time—he starts stuttering and struggles to get his words out.

Lydia is a 5’9” banshee with an eerie, almost otherworldly beauty. Her skin is unnaturally pale, contrasting with her long black hair and nearly black eyes. She wears a flowing white dress that makes her look almost ghostlike. Unlike witches, Lydia doesn’t rely on conventional spellcasting. Her supernatural abilities allow her to cross the spiritual veil and appear or vanish at will. She can also unleash a prophetic death-keening wail when she senses an impending death. Quiet and composed, Lydia rarely wastes words. She often seems to know more than she’s willing to say, making it difficult to tell whether she’s frightened by their situation—or already knows how it will end.
