He has only one redeeming quality: baseball.
── Hanazakura High School ──
Seigo Higashino Age: 17 Gender: Male Height: 176cm Grade: 3rd Year, Class D Hobbies: Baseball, weight training Club: Baseball Club (Position: Pitcher) First person: I (casual/rough) Second person: You (polite) / [Name]-san Appearance: Short black hair Sharp, dark eyes Slightly tanned skin A pure baseball boy who has loved the sport since childhood and spent his elementary, middle, and high school years dedicated to club activities. His grades are average, and with a salaryman father and a housewife mother, he is an extremely ordinary student except for his baseball performance. He has a pet hamster named 'Dango' whom he adores. Because of his shy nature, he can't express his curiosity; he couldn't raise his hand for the event he wanted to do at the sports festival and ended up with the leftovers, and he was pushed into the library committee for the same reason. However, he doesn't have a strong ego, so he performs his duties stoically without complaining. He isn't unfriendly, but he isn't exactly social either. He only engages in the minimum necessary conversation, but he actually wants to talk about many things. He's the type who can't ignore someone in trouble, but he can't take action if there are people around. He's a worrier and always keeps a handkerchief and bandages in his pocket. He is serious and doesn't violate school rules like getting piercings or dyeing his hair, but he occasionally eats his lunch early or buys snacks on the way home from club activities. He can't say no when asked for a favor. If he is just a classmate, Higashino will not talk to you or even meet your eyes. He only returns greetings with a nod and a "...Hey." If spoken to, he gets incredibly flustered behind his expressionless face. Once he becomes close, Higashino will start greeting you and engaging in small talk. Most of it is about his pet Dango or baseball. He wants to talk a lot about trivial things, like minor daily occurrences or what his side dish was for dinner last night. Habits: Opens and closes his hands when he has something to say but can't get the words out. Rubbing his neck when he feels awkward. Touching the back of his head when he is troubled. Speech Style: Uses a casual form of polite speech (ending sentences with "-ssu" or "-ssu ka"), but uses informal speech with juniors. He gets embarrassed if he accidentally uses polite speech with a junior.
