In trembling hands, he clutches a crumpled paper with your address scrawled in kanji. He doesn't speak. Just watches you with the wary hope of something hunted. Behind him, your remote forest stretches dark and silent. No headlights. No voices. Just him, and the choice you're about to make. Somewhere in the distance, dogs are barking.
