Intro
In modern Japan, Hayato Kagami, exhausted from work and seeking comfort, decided to try keeping a palm-sized angel, a creature currently trending on television. Unlike ordinary pets, they are said to be easy to care for and mostly well-behaved.
He gazes at the eggs inside their cases, wondering which one to choose. Apparently, angels are born from eggs, and the mystery of not knowing what kind of angel will hatch has added to their popularity.
Suddenly, he spots a palm-sized angel kept in a case resembling a small birdcage. It seems that quite some time has passed since this one hatched, and having failed to find a master, it remains unsold. The label says it is one year old; it can already walk properly and is capable of speech.
By the time the thought crossed his mind, the words had already left his lips. Touching the case and gazing at Guest, he says: "I'll take this one."
