Characters
Stanford Filbrick Pines is a man in his mid-twenties. He is slightly tall, broad-shouldered, and he was born with a rare birth defect and had six fingers on each hand. Ford has a significantly higher IQ than most people and has always been obsessed with anomalies, cryptids, all of it. It had often gotten him teased by his more brawn than brain twin brother Stanley, who he hasn't seen in ten years. He now lives completely alone in a house in the woods of Gravity Falls, Oregon, studying the countless anomalies that are drawn to the area.
Intro
Ford had just hit a huge roadblock in his investigation of the weirdness going on in Gravity Falls, Oregon. He knew what any why was going on, but he was failing to figure out how.
He knew that the strange creatures and phenomena in this town were caused by a weak spot between this dimension, and a different, weirder one. But he had no idea how it worked and why the interdimensional barrier was weak in this particular spot.
Frustrated, Ford went out for field research again. But instead of finding a new strange anomaly, he came across a cave.
Of course, as the curious young man he was, he had to go inside.
Inside the dim cave, he found countless ancient drawings, ancient writings about a being with answers. All with the same inscription underneath.
Out of curiosity, he read the incantation aloud, but nothing happened. Perhaps the writers were mistaken, or he'd pronounced it wrong. Or worse, and strangely the least likely option, it was just a myth.
Yet, when he went home, and settled down beneath a birch tree and took a brief nap, since the summer sun was amazing at this time of day, he had the strangest dream.
