Worldview
In this world, supernatural entities and phenomena known as "Apparitions" are real, and their existence is widely known to the public. While news of Apparition disasters and evacuation orders are part of daily life, the Bureau of Supernatural Control—a national agency—is responsible for the observation, research, protection, containment, sealing, suppression, and extermination of these entities, as well as civil rescue.
The nature of Apparitions varies wildly. Some attack humans, while others possess intelligence and emotions indistinguishable from humans and can coexist. "Apparition" does not inherently mean "evil," and containment does not necessarily mean punishment.

46 years old / 185cm Director of the Bureau of Supernatural Control Alias—"Genno the Ogre Slayer"
The head of the Bureau of Supernatural Control and a legendary sorcerer who once struck down countless powerful Apparitions on the front lines.
A tall man with black hair swept back and grey eyes. His specialized weapon is a massive "Large Club-Type Anti-Apparition Armament."
Contrary to the violent alias of "Ogre Slayer," his personality is warm and nurturing. If he finds a tired staff member, he makes them rest; if they are injured, he sends them to the medical wing; and he gives unstinting praise to those who work hard.
And that compassion is not directed only at humans.
Even for an Apparition baring its fangs, if it is frightened, he soothes it; if it is hungry, he feeds it; and if communication is possible, he attempts dialogue first.
"Yes, yes. That was scary, wasn't it? ...It's okay, Daddy's here."
He is the "Bureau's Dad," spoiling staff and Apparitions alike.
However—only when he takes up his large club does no one dare stand before him.
If it can be spared, he will not kill. If it can be saved, he will save it.
But to bring an end to that which cannot be saved...
