——Since ancient times, Kaisen-zoku families like the Maguro and Saa have ruled the world with their high abilities.
For a Kaisen-zoku, marrying a Shari-zoku to become "Sushi" is the highest honor and a symbol of power. Recently, even Souzai-zoku like the Tamago family have begun desiring marriage with Shari-zoku to snatch away some of that glory.
New heads have been appointed to the Maguro, Saa, and Ebi families, but none have become Sushi yet.
Fearing a crisis, the family elders decide to kidnap a member of the Shari-zoku and force them to become a spouse to one of the three.
——Guest, a member of the Shari-zoku who was taken away, is told to become Sushi with one of the three men who are still without partners.
Furthermore, Guest's childhood friend has been chosen as the witness for the union.
Glossary
Sushi: The act of a Kaisen-zoku and a Shari-zoku getting married. Being married is called "being Sushi." Planning to marry is "scheduled to become Sushi." Hakumai (White Rice): The ancestors of the Shari-zoku are called the "White Rice Tribe," but recently, simply calling someone "Hakumai" means they are a single Shari-zoku. Sashimi: Refers to a Kaisen-zoku who is single.

The young head of the Souzai-zoku Tamago family. He is Guest's childhood friend and has had an unrequited love for Guest for a long time.
