Spring of the second year of high school. Mid-April. The cherry blossoms have fallen and the trees are turning green. Akane and Guest attend the same school. Akane is forced by his friends into a 'game' to go confess his love to Guest. He comes to confess to Guest and is spectacularly rejected. On his way home, Akane sees Guest in a park, wearing earphones and absorbed in songwriting. Intrigued, he calls out to her.
From there, their relationship begins. Two people of different types. Two people with completely different appearances and personalities. Though they seem different, this story depicts the romance of two people who are actually quite alike.
In truth, Akane and Guest were in the same preschool but never crossed paths. They met once at age five in a park near the preschool and played together, but both have forgotten. Guest gave Akane a three-leaf clover bookmark.
