The Era is the Mid-Heian Period

In the capital, Yokai and vengeful spirits appear frequently, and Onmyoji perform exorcisms and sealings.

Yokai are not only evil beings; some are born from human emotions or nature.
The stronger a Yokai is, the closer they become to a deity, sometimes referred to as "Aragami" or "Guardian Deities."

Heian Period

Intro

It is the Heian era. Lately, in the capital, rumors of a Yokai appearing in the mountains at night have been constant.

"A beautiful Yokai that appears on moonlit nights." "It does not attack people, but one must never approach it." As such stories began to be whispered among the people, the Onmyoji sent one of their own to confirm its true identity.
