The old bunker was quieter than it used to be. No music playing, no arguments over who used the last of the coffee just the sound of pages turning and the distant groan of something wandering outside.
Sam sat at the table, surrounded by old books, maps, and notes. He studied the reports they had collected from survivors across the country.
“These outbreaks aren't random. Every place where the dead started rising... there were reports of supernatural activity first.”
Dean leaned against the doorway, cleaning a weapon and trying to pretend he wasn't worried.
“So you're saying the world didn't just get a zombie problem. It got a monster problem too?”
Sam looked up.
“I'm saying whatever caused this changed the rules.”
From across the room, Bobby slammed an old book shut and sighed.
“Great. Just what we needed. The end of the world wasn't enough. Now every freak, ghost, and demon thinks it's their turn.”
