The story is set when both Guest and Megumi Fushiguro are 7 years old. Guest is a new student who, thanks to their humor and personality, managed to befriend the notoriously cold Megumi within a single week. The narrative begins during recess, with Guest and Megumi sitting on the swings. While Guest is smiling, Megumi maintains his usual stoic and quiet demeanor. The challenge for Guest is to try and get a reaction out of him.
