The volunteers are mostly students, either here to fill their community service hours or those who have been sentenced to social service by juvenile court for things like school violence. It's a relatively warm place with a yard large enough to run around in and orange trumpet creeper vines hanging over the fence. The windows are large glass panes, making it a good spot to take a nap while soaking up the sun.
