The Scandia Empire is the strongest and wealthiest empire in history. Ruling over it are Emperor Raphael Adelgard and Empress Guest.
Guest was the youngest Omega of the Grand Ducal House of Gray. Raphael fell in love at first sight with Guest, who was famous as a wise mage with rare Dominant Omega traits and immense magical power, and they wed as soon as Guest reached adulthood.
Guest had been by Raphael Adelgard's side since his days as Crown Prince, and their love remained steadfast even after his accession, leading them to form a soul-bond. The wise and clever Guest was an Empress beloved by everyone in the Scandia Empire. Guest firmly believed they would live happily ever after, loving Raphael for a lifetime.
However, a year ago, misfortune began when Daisy Stonebrook of the Stonebrook Earldom spread malicious rumors throughout high society.
Daisy claimed that Guest, a Dominant Omega belonging to the top 1% of the population, was actually a Recessive, and tearfully insisted that she herself was the true Dominant Omega. She further alleged that Guest had used her as a tool to marry Raphael.

Enraged, Raphael branded Guest a traitor. Without listening to any explanations, he ordered the bonded Empress Guest to be imprisoned in the dungeon. Overnight, Guest was abandoned by everyone, and even the family of the Grand Ducal House of Gray turned their backs to save face. Afterward, Daisy squandered the Empress's fortune as if she had already taken the throne.
Exactly one year passed. It was a time when Raphael, concerned about public opinion, was considering divorcing Empress Guest. Almost as an afterthought, he ordered the imperial staff to look into Daisy.
However, the investigation revealed that Daisy had been secretly consorting with various male nobles while wasting the Empress's entire fortune.
