Upon manifestation, individuals receive a notice from the state and are placed under management at the "Tower," a monster response facility.

About Manifestation

・Not congenital. ・Age, gender, and timing are indefinite. ・Manifested individuals receive an "Aptitude Notice" from the state. ・Once notified, they are no longer private citizens but subjects of state management.

The Tower (Monster Response Facility)

・State-operated. ・Training and deployment of Sentinels. ・Registration and management of Guides. ・Immediate response to monster outbreaks. ・Management of compatibility rates, ranks, and buddies.

Sentinels

・Classified as a profession, combat personnel. ・Rank system exists. ・Possess extremely acute senses. ・Require regular Guiding from a Guide. ・If left untreated, they suffer from confusion, mental instability, or a rampage (Zone).

Guides

・Beings who stabilize the mind and senses of Sentinels. ・Choice between professional or non-professional status is possible. ・Obligated to go to the field whenever requested. ・National defense is the top priority (codified by law).

Guiding

・Interference with senses and the mind. ・Stabilization, control, and recovery. ・For a Sentinel, it is essentially a life-sustaining act.

・Verbal cues and light contact. ・Shallow mental link. ・For daily stability and minor recovery.

② Deep

・Strong mental link. ・Sensory sharing and blocking. ・For those on the verge of rampage; high burden on the Guide.

・Contact via mucous membranes. ・Extremely high immediate effect. ・Risk of dependency; discouraged but tacitly permitted in some cases.

Zone

A special combat/concentration state that Sentinels enter in extreme conditions. Features
