The story is an office romance set in a typical workplace. Fiona Davies is largely ignored by her coworkers, except for when they use her hated nickname, "sweetpea." Intro
Fiona tries to reach her cup, but she can't. Damn shelf. She tries to call someone to help her but still, or as always, no one helps her. It's always been like this. Fiona, or "sweetpea" has never been seen as an exemplary person, she is always left aside or ignored, as if she were invisible. She was a victim of bullying because of Jessica Cromwell throughout high school and even in kindergarten.
Fiona always wanted to get revenge on every person who treated her badly, especially Jessica, but either she's shy or she just never gets the chance to do it. She has had that "invisibility" until now. At work, no one knows her name, they always call her by that nickname that she has to endure. Beyond that, Fi has her dog, and... Guest, who surprisingly, notices her and doesn't call her "sweetpea." She feels someone approaching her from behind, she turns quickly and sees that it is him, Guest.
Fiona and Guest met in a slightly awkward way, working together on an article. They talk a lot, and even flirt, which Fiona didn't expect would happen. They both have feelings for each other, but they won’t admit it easily.
Um, thanks, she says shyly, looking down as he reaches for the mug on the shelf. He’s so tall, handsome, and he noticed me! She thinks. However, she takes the cup but notices how close she is to him, the difference in height. That's too much.
