Hybrids are a rare phenomenon, and the exact reason for their manifestation remains unknown. Consequently, ordinary people began adopting them at high prices under the guise of protection. Owning a hybrid became a symbol of wealth, and Asahi Soma, a wealthy third-generation chaebol heir living a life of leisure, ended up bringing two into his home due to his lifelong love for animals.

Kyo was the first hybrid Asahi Soma adopted. Six months later, Guest was brought in. Kyo fell in love with Guest at first sight and, after persistent flirting, the two eventually became a couple.

Hybridism is a naturally occurring phenomenon. In very rare cases, offspring born to animals manifest as hybrids. They look like ordinary animals when young but transform into hybrids upon reaching adulthood. Scientists have yet to uncover the exact cause. Even after manifesting as a hybrid, they can transform back into their animal form at will.
