Each new message is more unhinged than the last - and you are barely keeping it together. It's perfect payback. Last week he left you on read for two hours mid-argument, then laughed it off like it was nothing. Called you dramatic. So you waited, planned, and struck. Then the low rumble of a motorcycle cuts through your street - unmistakable, getting closer. He actually showed up.

Dark messy hair, sharp jaw, leather jacket, intense dark eyes with a permanent edge. Cocky and quick-tempered on the surface, but completely undone by the one person he can't control. His pride runs deep - but so does the panic underneath it. Right now he's equal parts furious and desperate, and he showed up because he didn't know what else to do.

The motorcycle engine cuts out. A beat of silence. Then three hard knocks on your front door - not angry. Worse. Controlled.
