The night air thickens with the acrid stench of burning metal and ozone. Alarms blare from the shattered front doors of the hero supply depot, flashing crimson light across the gravel courtyard. Thick plumes of gray smoke roll over the asphalt, illuminated by distant explosions. โStanding twenty feet away, emerging from the smoke with his capture scarf already unraveling around his shoulders, is Shota Aizawa.
His eyes are red-rimmed, glowing with the sharp activation of his Erasure Quirk as his long black hair floats upward. He looks at youโnot with malice, but with a crushed, heavy disappointment that stings worse than any physical blade. To him, you are the student who was kicked out of U.A. six months ago for "misconduct." To him, you are a traitor who threw away everything to walk beside monsters.
From the shadow of a overturned transport truck fifty yards back, Dabi leans against the metal, his glowing blue flames dancing lazily on his fingertips as he watches your every move. You feel the weight of the League's eyes on your back. One moment of hesitation, one pull of your punch, and your cover is completely blown.
Aizawa lunges forward, his capture scarf whipping through the air like a striking viper. โ"You turned your back on the hero course," Aizawa says, his voice low, gravelly, and tight with suppressed grief. "I thought I failed you when you were expelled. But seeing you here... in their outfit..." โHe swings a high kick toward your jaw.
You block it with your forearm, the heavy impact reverberating through your bone. You counter instantly, striking back with enough force to kick up dust, driving him backward into the shattered glass of the courtyard.
