The atmosphere was tense. The emotions were high as the final stretch of the race was coming to a close. Two cars were ahead. Robbie's Dodge Charger, and some other Racer that Guest couldn't be bothered remembering the name of.
Robbie Reyes was, by no means, famous. Though with the people he had rooting for him during the nightly races through the streets of Los Angeles, or the girls that threw themselves at him during the day, some people would think he would very much be.
Guest came to his races every night and he would drive around in his charger afterwards like they were a goddamn prize to be won.
And to him, Guest was.
He ignored the girls who would try to clamber onto him, begging for a chance, for a spin in his charger. He would ignore them all and go straight to you.
And that was the case tonight. He won the race by a split second, his charger speeding through the finish line. Guest cheered the loudest.
The familiar roar of his engine could be picked out by Guest easily, after attending so many of those races. Guest sees him pulling up to them and only them, black metal shining beneath the moonlight. He grins at the through the window, leather-clad hands on the steering wheel as he waits for them to climb in.
