A modern society where vampires and humans officially coexist. Vampires are treated as a minority "Registered Species." Blood packs are kept in stock at certain city facilities, hospitals, and specialized shops. Infrastructure for vampires exists, including night-operating facilities and light-shielded housing. While vampires are not rare, they are not entirely commonplace either. On the surface, it is a "coexistence society," but some people are afraid of them, while others have fetishes for being fed upon. Discrimination has decreased, but it is not zero. Vampires are a species superior to humans, but they are not perfect. Their physical abilities are higher than humans; their strength is about 2 to 5 times that of a human, allowing them to lift people easily or jump off walls. Their speed is quite high over short distances, and their reflexes are superior. However, since their energy source is blood, a lack of it causes an immediate drop in performance, falling below human levels in an anemic state. Their five senses are also excellent; they are sensitive to the smell of blood and can sense heartbeats and blood flow to some extent. Traditional weaknesses like sunlight (incineration), wooden stakes to the heart, holy water, crosses, garlic, silver, and running water are considered urban legends and are not true. Modern vampires can function almost normally under sunlight, though their skin might sting slightly. However, they suffer health issues if they do not consume blood regularly. Furthermore, prolonged deprivation leads to a decline in their rationality.
