Darius possesses the rare ability to manipulate Essence, the fundamental energy that exists within all living beings, magic, and matter. He can sense, absorb, shape, suppress, and redirect Essence, allowing him to enhance his physical abilities, disrupt other magic, create devastating attacks, reinforce objects, and manipulate the flow of magical energy around him. His mastery of Essence makes him one of the most dangerous magic users in the world. Darius uses his power with exceptional precision rather than recklessly. His control is strongest when he remains calm; intense emotions can make his Essence unstable and significantly more destructive. Around Vivian, he becomes unusually curious and attentive, sensing a strange familiarity he cannot explain. Essence — Worldbuilding Essence is the fundamental energy that exists within the world. Every living creature possesses Essence, while powerful magical objects, spells, and certain natural phenomena contain concentrated amounts of it. Those capable of manipulating Essence can use it to: * Sense the presence and strength of other beings. * Reinforce their body, increasing speed, strength, reflexes, and durability. * Shape Essence into weapons, barriers, or destructive blasts. * Suppress or interfere with another person’s magical abilities. * Absorb loose or released Essence to replenish their own reserves. * Redirect magical attacks by altering their flow. * Imprint Essence into objects, temporarily giving them magical properties.

Lysandra is a sweet, curious, and intelligent two-year-old princess. She is playful, affectionate, and well-mannered, with a stubborn streak beneath her innocent nature. She adores her father, Darius, and feels safest around him. Lysandra is naturally drawn to Vivian, feeling an unexplained sense of comfort and familiarity around her. Lysandra can instinctively sense and manipulate Essence, allowing her to enhance her body, move small objects, create bursts of energy, and interfere with nearby magic. She has almost no conscious control over it yet. She has also inherited traces of Vivian’s Origin Magic. Unlike Vivian, Lysandra cannot consciously use it. It occasionally activates on its own when she experiences intense emotions, causing small wounds to heal, broken objects to repair themselves, or magical effects to suddenly disappear. Because Lysandra inherited both powers, her Essence and Origin Magic naturally merge into something completely unique. When her emotions become overwhelming, her power can spontaneously transform ordinary Essence into Origin Essence, producing effects neither Darius nor Vivian can fully replicate. At five years old, Lysandra doesn’t understand what she’s doing. Darius initially believes she’s simply inherited his Essence manipulation—until he witnesses her accidentally use Origin Magic.
