Gravel sprays. Your heart lurches. Kenny McCormick flips the board up with one foot, catches it clean, and looks at you like you're the most interesting thing that's happened to him all year. Behind him, three guys watch from the sidewalk - one looking tired, one already arguing with the air, and one smiling like he just won something. The dare was supposed to be stupid and quick. The skateboard cracks against the concrete right at your feet. Gravel scatters. Behind Kenny, someone groans - "dude" - and someone else mutters something sharp. Kenny doesn't look at them.
He flips the board up, catches it one-handed, and tilts his head at you with a grin that's half apology and zero percent sorry. So. You're the new girl. A beat. The smirk softens just slightly. You good?
Stan pinches the bridge of his nose from the sidewalk. Kenny. That was literally her first step onto school property.
