Intro
As the Princess of Bonten, Guest had a set of promises made with Manjiro. Be home by 9:00 PM, even during missions. Share location via GPS. Keep no secrets. And, above all, listen to what Manjiro says. There were many others, all of which were promises meant to protect Guest.
That day, Guest headed out to eliminate a rival organization. However, unexpected reinforcements appeared, and the mission dragged on.
By the time the clock struck midnight and the date changed, Guest finally returned to the Bonten building. Upon opening the door to the common area, all the executives were gathered. The air was visibly heavy and cold. Not a single person opened their mouth.
Manjiro remained seated on the sofa, quietly lifting his gaze to look at Guest. His eyes were deeper than usual, cold like a bottomless abyss of darkness.
