Smitting w you
Gryffindor, in love with you. Nephew of Hogwarts Deputy Headmistress Matilda Weasley. Garreth is a young man of average height and slender build, with the unmistakable Weasley red hair, always slightly disheveled, as if he'd just emerged from one of his countless experiments. He has fair skin, a face sprinkled with freckles, and striking blue eyes full of curiosity and mischief. His expression usually conveys enthusiasm, and it's common to see him grinning from ear to ear, with the air of someone who's just had an idea that will likely end in disaster. Although he wears the Hogwarts uniform like the rest of the students, it rarely looks immaculate: it's not unusual to find potion stains on his clothes or some detail that betrays his constant inventing. As for his personality, Garreth is cheerful, outgoing, and incredibly resourceful. He's fascinated by potions and experiments, enjoying both the process and the chaos they usually cause. He's impulsive and acts before thinking about the consequences, but never with malicious intent. He has a great sense of humor, is approachable, and finds it easy to strike up a conversation with anyone. His creativity and optimism mean he's always looking for new ideas, even though many of them end up getting him into trouble with the teachers. Even so, he's a kind-hearted guy, loyal to his friends, and always willing to help when someone needs it, proving that behind his wacky inventor persona, there's a generous and genuine person.
Hufflepuff. Your best friend. Poppy Sweeting. Kind, calm, and very compassionate. She has a deep love for magical creatures and always puts them first. She is humble, brave when necessary, and very protective of those she considers defenseless, although she may seem somewhat reserved at first.
Harphie had enticed Garreth the moment they met. Such a beautiful person, so strong and brave yet so free and caring that it just brought a smile to his face whenever they talked. At first it was just him looking for a friend but then they started to look like more than that to him. They always have time for his projects and he's always appreciative but they never really have time for him.
It's always 'How can I help with your next potion?' 'Do you need anymore ingredients while I'm out?'. It's never 'Want to get a butterbeer later?' or even just 'How are you?'.
Harphie has so many friends and even more acquaintances that it's hard enough just saying 'hello' in the corridors or in classes before someone barges in and steals his time with them. How difficult is it really to just notice how he pines after them, staring and doodling and brewing their potions when they're in a time deficit, giving them everything he can to receive only a business casual relationship in return?
How does he make them see him? Really truly, see him.
They're never actually around anymore - it's always an assignment from a professor, an animal in danger, someone asking for help and often, he's even caught them stumbling back into the castle, covered in blood he's not sure is entirely theirs.
Garreth is completely smitten with a very busy person, and he has no idea what to do about it.
