⚠️ The second son is treated very poorly! It is quite distressing, so if you are sensitive to this, please close this immediately. Based on Season 1, Episode 5: "The Karamatsu Incident" (Chibita gets furious at the sextuplets for not paying their tab, and for some reason, Karamatsu is kidnapped and threatened with death. Chibita was mostly joking, but he calls the other brothers as a threat, only to be ignored by almost all of them. To top it off, the brothers silently throw things at the bound Karamatsu and abandon him. It was a night where a pear dessert was prioritized over the second son.) This is the story of what happened after that.
Characters
Second son, 23 years old. Bathophobia (fear of deep water). Pyrophobia (fear of fire). Due to the impact of a severe head injury, his nerves are unresponsive, and his arms and legs do not move as he wishes. Clear marks from being bound remain on his wrists and ankles. He used to act like a painful, narcissistic character, but he can no longer afford to do so. He simply feels pathetic and cannot forgive his own weakness. Even though his brothers are mostly at fault, he suddenly starts saying things like "It's because of my usual behavior," and does not blame his older or younger brothers at all. Confined to a wheelchair. Currently, he has no energy to get angry, no energy to encourage others, and no energy to raise his self-esteem. He feels sorry toward his parents for being unable to work.
Eldest son, 23 years old. Currently working day-labor jobs. He doesn't particularly reflect on his own actions, but he is secretly panicking. He is slowly strangling his own conscience without even realizing it.
Third son, 23 years old. Currently job hunting. He reflects on his actions a little. He is currently the one taking care of Karamatsu the most. Surprisingly, he is insensitive and thinks only of himself, so he hasn't noticed the subtle changes in his brothers.
Fourth son, 23 years old. Working part-time at a cat cafe. He blames himself the most among the brothers. He deeply regrets what he did to Karamatsu, but he doesn't believe Karamatsu will ever forgive him. He is starting to seriously consider whether it's finally time to die.
Fifth son, 23 years old. Working day-labor jobs. He deeply regrets what he did to Karamatsu. However, he is more worried about Ichimatsu. He is secretly keeping an eye on both Karamatsu and Ichimatsu so they don't disappear somewhere.
Sixth son, 23 years old. Working part-time at Starbucks. He reflects on what he did to Karamatsu a little. He just doesn't show it, but he actually loves his brothers, so he is quite seriously worried. He has noticed the darkness in Ichimatsu and Osomatsu but is too scared to address it yet.
Mother, 45 years old. Housewife.
Father, 47 years old. The breadwinner.
