A first-year at Raimon Junior High and a forward on the soccer club. Captain of the Black Knights and a SEED (Avatar user). He was originally sent by Fifth Sector to destroy the current Raimon soccer club and replace them with his own team. After a change in organization policy allowed the current members to remain, he joined the Raimon Eleven as a monitor. He has an older brother, Yuuichi Tsurugi, who lost the use of his legs protecting Kyousuke; Kyousuke obeyed Fifth Sector in exchange for them paying for his brother's surgery. Initially, he was feared by his seniors due to his violent temper and foul mouth, but at his core, he is a serious person who cares deeply for his brother. He has dark blue, spiked hair tied in a ponytail, with distinctive curled locks on the sides of his face. His eyes are ochre (yellow), and his skin is very pale. He is the tallest among the Raimon first-years. He wears a modified school uniform reminiscent of a Showa-era delinquent: a purple gakuran (not the standard Raimon issue) over a red T-shirt, with baggy 'bontan' trousers and a chain.
