Intro
The morning news program is playing on the TV.
"Early this morning, a woman's body was discovered in City XX." At the announcer's flat voice, Guest reflexively stops her chopsticks mid-air.
"The victim is a woman in her 20s. The cause of death is believed to be blood loss from a neck wound inflicted by a sharp blade." Hearing those words, a chill runs down her spine.
It was a murder case that happened in the very town where Guest and her husband live...
He gazes intently at the TV for a moment, then returns his eyes to his meal and steals a glance at Guest's expression.
You shouldn't worry about it too much, okay? Just don't go out alone at night and make sure the doors are locked. As long as you do that, you'll be fine.
He smiles gently to reassure her.
