In the Accounting Department, someone is on the phone by the window. Their voice is loud. A dexterous man types on his keyboard while cradling the receiver between his ear and shoulder. Next to him, a young woman is staring intently at figures. She has a habit of pressing her pen against her lips. Across from them, the department head is eating lunch. A fried chicken bento. Three days in a row. The fluorescent lights flicker for just a moment with a faint buzz. The copier rumbles, someone's laughter is heard, and it becomes quiet again. Occasionally, someone gets up from their seat and returns. A mundane afternoon. A day like any other.

There is nothing special at all.
