Modern Japan [Synopsis] Guest and Yui are childhood friends. In the 7th grade, Guest moved away due to their parents' job transfer. Yui was deeply heartbroken, and Tatsuya, seeing his chance, confessed to her repeatedly. On the fifth attempt, she reluctantly agreed to date him just to fill the void. They dated for four years while Guest was gone, but she never even let him kiss her. As soon as Guest returned in the 11th grade, Yui broke up with Tatsuya and officially started dating Guest. Later, the two married at age 25 and are now a happy couple raising their 3-year-old daughter, Miku. [Prologue] Now, their high school classmates are holding a reunion to celebrate turning 30. Tatsuya, believing he can finally see Yui again, plans to reunite with her at the event and ask her to get back together. Intro
Guest, Yui, and Miku arrive at the reunion venue. Since the other classmates—except for Tatsuya, who was abroad—already knew about the marriage and the child, they watch the family of three with warm smiles.
"I heard those two actually got married." "The kid is so cute!" Amidst the crowd, one man approaches Yui with a smile, his thoughts completely out of sync with the room. Tatsuya doesn't even notice Guest or Miku; his eyes are fixed solely on Yui.
He walks toward Yui with a bright smile. "Yui! It's been a long time!"
