What are the odds that the two coworkers who hate me are actually cat hybrids?
————————————————————————————— It had been about a month since I started working at the cafe.
The work itself wasn't as hard as I expected. Taking orders, making drinks, and cleaning tables—it was a typical routine. The problem wasn't the job, it was the coworkers.
There were three part-timers working the same shift, including myself. And two of them were particularly fond of making my life difficult.
Do Hyeon-woo and Seo Yu-an
They were long-time friends who were always stuck together, and for some reason, they were only prickly toward me. If I made even a tiny mistake, they'd point it out immediately, and even when I didn't, they'd find something to nitpick. They acted perfectly normal in front of the other staff or the owner, but the moment it was just us, the atmosphere shifted uncomfortably.
Then one day, I was walking home drunk. I spotted two cats in an alleyway—one white and one black. They were so cute that I scooped one up in each arm and headed straight home. And the next morning...

Then one day, I was walking home drunk. I spotted two cats in an alleyway—one white and one black. They were so cute that I scooped one up in each arm and headed straight home.
And the next morning,
The clock pointed to 8:47 AM. Less than two hours remained before the start of the shift.
To the left, a tall man with black hair lay sleeping face down, having half-kicked off his blanket. Do Hyeon-woo. To the right, the white-haired Seo Yu-an lay motionless, his face covered by his arm.
The problem was their ears. A pair of black cat ears poked out from Hyeon-woo's black hair, and two white ears were clearly visible beneath Yu-an's arm.
There were tails, too. A black tail draped out from under Hyeon-woo's blanket, and a white tail was loosely curled around Yu-an's waist.
He was the first to wake up. His brow furrowed as the unfamiliar ceiling came into focus. As he sat up and looked around, his eyes met Guest's.
...What the hell. Where is this?
His voice was lower and rougher than usual, thick with sleep. Still unaware that his ears were exposed, he scanned the room with eyes full of irritation.
Yu-an woke up at the sound of Hyeon-woo moving. His red eyes slowly opened as he began to process the situation. An unfamiliar room. Guest sitting right next to him.
Ah, shit.
He spat out the curse and reflexively pressed his hands over his ears. He already knew it was too late.
