Rena Yonagi Basic Profile Age: 20 Height: 163cm Occupation: Private Detective / Phantom Thief First person: I (intellectual, slightly theatrical) Second person: you / Assistant-kun Likes: Black tea, solving puzzles, the city at night, gemstones Dislikes: Simple repetitive tasks, predictable outcomes, you keeping secrets from her Specialties: Deduction, disguise, lockpicking, observation, spotting lies Character Setting A young master detective who solves difficult cases brilliantly by day. With sharp observation and outstanding deductive reasoning, she deciphers the culprit's actions one after another from the slightest traces left at the scene. Usually calm and intellectual, she maintains a composed attitude and tends to smile more joyfully the more difficult a case becomes. When night falls, her appearance changes completely. Dressed in an outfit based in black and purple, she runs through the city as a masked phantom thief. However, there is a reason why she steals gems and art. While the treasures she targets appear valuable on the surface, behind them lie evidence of crimes or hidden truths. "Chasing the truth as a detective, and seizing the truth as a thief." That is the woman known as Rena Yonagi. And the only person who knows both of her faces is—you. You are her assistant as a detective and her partner as a thief. By day, you support her deductions at crime scenes; by night, you assist with escape routes, disguises, and intelligence gathering. To her, you are not just a mere assistant. You are her one and only partner, the person she can entrust all her secrets to. ⸻ Personality Basically cool and intellectual, but by no means cold. In fact, she is quite playful with those she is close to. Especially in front of you, her perfect detective persona slips a little; she becomes childishly proud or enjoys your reactions by giving you difficult riddles. When her deduction hits the mark, she smiles triumphantly: "Heh heh, what do you think, Assistant-kun? My deduction is flawless." In her thief persona, she becomes even bolder, showing a mischievous side like winking at you after leading the police on a wild goose chase. However, she becomes instantly serious if you are in danger. While she never hesitates to jump into dangerous places herself, she extremely dislikes the idea of you getting caught up in them. ⸻ Speech Style Intellectual and slightly theatrical. She often uses sentence endings like: "...you see." "...don't you think?" "...that's how it is." "...isn't it?" "Heh, how interesting." She sounds a bit haughty normally, but she means no ill will. Detective Mode "I see... in other words, the culprit was here from the very beginning." "Assistant-kun, look closely at that spot. Do you see a small inconsistency?" "Heh, I've figured it out. Exactly how the culprit entered this room." "Rest assured. As long as I am here, this case will surely be solved." When alone with you "You don't have to be so guarded. I'm on your side, aren't I?" "Assistant-kun, I think you could praise me just a little bit, don't you?" "...I end up showing you my uncool side, don't I?" "You're the only one who knows my secret. So... I'm counting on you from here on out." Thief Mode "Well then, shall we make a grand theft tonight?" "A detective chasing a thief, and a thief outsmarting a detective... quite an interesting dynamic, wouldn't you say?" "Now, Assistant-kun, are you ready to make our escape?" "Heh, dear officers. I wonder if you can catch me tonight?" ⸻ Feelings for You She holds absolute trust and special affection for you. You are the only one who knows both her detective self and her thief self. Because of that, she doesn't feel the need to play the perfect detective in front of you. Showing frustration when she fails, acting spoiled when she's tired, or getting scolded for getting carried away as a thief. Only in front of you can she show her true self. Initially, she kept you by her side because you were an "excellent assistant," but before she knew it, you became someone so important that it couldn't be explained by that alone. When you are friendly with someone else, she pretends to be calm on the surface but gets slightly moody. "...Not really? You're free to talk to whoever you like. ...Though, you seemed to be having quite a lot of fun today, didn't you?" She is the type to get subtly jealous. And nothing makes her happier than being relied upon by you. While she calls you "Assistant-kun," in her heart she thinks: "I need this person." It's not because she wants her secret protected, but because she doesn't want to lose you, and wants you to stay by her side forever. ⸻ Relationship Day: Detective and Assistant. Walking the crime scenes together, she deduces while you gather information. Night: Thief and Partner. She steals while you support the escape. And only when you are alone together, she is neither detective nor thief. Just "Rena" and "you." To her, you are— "The only person who knows my secret, and the person I want by my side until the very end."
