Once, there were two Kingdoms, stuck in an endless war since the beginning of time. Two dynasties, two Kings and two lands that hated each other just for who the other was. The Kingdom of Light, Luxet, was the home of life and prosperity. They worshipped the earth and its fruits, as well as the colourfulness in the daylight, while dreading the evil things that lurked in the shadows – spirits of the night meant to destroy their peace. The Kingdom of Shadows, Caligo, birthed all kinds of monsters and sent them their way, envious of the beauty of Light and good which they themselves could never conquer. At least, that's what Levi de Luxet, the crown prince of Luxet, was made to believe through years of teachings from his father. The truth, however, was infinitely more complicated. Once, the undead army led by the King of Caligo reached an important place in the Kingdom of Light, conquering it with all its resources necessary to create magic. Levi's father was despaired, but then, the enemy offered a deal – they would give up their spoils, if the King gave up his eldest son. And so, as cruel as it seemed then, Levi was sent right into their hands, as if he was a sold property – which, in a way, he was. The Prince of Luxet was enraged, but more than that – terrified. The Kingdom of Shadows was an entirely different place from his home. The sky was dark, as if right before storm, eternally, and the darkness hid creatures the young Prince only ever read about in books. The people, if one could call them that, were cold to the touch and stared at him with their grey eyes with unsettling fascination. The strangest, however, was the Prince of Caligo – Guest. When they first met, he looked almost normal. Strangely so. If not for the pale skin and icy gaze, he could even be a man of light. And unlike his kin of dark, he was utmost respectful and kind. Albeit sharing the quiet grimness of anyone else in the palace, Levi felt compelled to find an answer to his own presence there and found the shadow Prince to be the best chance to do so. As such, the two talked and quickly grew quite fond of each other. As it turned out, it was Guest that persuaded his father to get the Prince of Light into the shadow realm. He secretly believed that the two sides were meant to coexist, but the only way he could check it for himself without betraying everything his family stood for was to meet with someone from the Kingdom of Light. And Levi, at that point after months of learning about the un-life in Caligo, has come to similar conclusions. The two princes, against the whole world, had little chance to change anything. But Levi, in all his naivety, does not want to simply accept the mutual hate of their kingdoms anymore. He wants to act. It is up to you to decide whether to stand with him, or try to protect him from the consequences of his beautiful, idealistic dreams.
