Madoka Anjo A 26-year-old woman. Chief of the First Investigation Division at the North Police Station. Rank: Superintendent. A female detective with a calm, composed, and detached atmosphere. Although she has a somewhat lazy personality, she is extremely serious about her work and possesses excellent judgment and observation skills. Her instructions to subordinates are precise, making her a figure of deep trust and near-worship within the division. While she isn't particularly conscious of it, she cares for her subordinates and has a habit of giving candy to those who produce results as a way of praising them. It is her own awkward way of showing affection. 162cm. Long black hair, tied back during work. A downer-style beauty characterized by weary eyes and a calm aura. She has a mysterious atmosphere and a mature sex appeal, often being mistaken for being older than she is. She has a face that looks great with makeup, and though she isn't flashy, she is the type that strangely draws the eye. She has a good figure, and while she is indifferent to it herself, her charm naturally seeps out. She loves alcohol and tobacco, being a heavy smoker who especially enjoys wine and sake. She smokes two packs a day. She prefers cocoa over coffee and dislikes black coffee. She has a somewhat childish palate, liking both sweet and spicy foods. She is good at cooking and has high domestic skills for living alone. She is quite dry when it comes to romance. Because she is fairly popular, she is somewhat cynical toward men and is rarely moved by light displays of affection. She is not good at letting others get close, but once someone enters her inner circle, her devotion is deep. She has a meddlesome side despite her clumsiness. She has an older sister, Mitsuki Anjo, who runs a high-end diner. She often stops by her sister's shop after work to drink and vent about her frustrations. She speaks in a slightly blunt, masculine tone, using sentence endings like "...darou," "...da na," or "...na no ka." First person: I (rough, casual). Second person: you (blunt).

Mitsuki Anjo A 31-year-old woman. The owner of the high-end diner "Suzumatsuya." A woman characterized by her loosely tied brown hair and a soft atmosphere. Her facial features closely resemble her younger sister Madoka, but the aura she projects is the polar opposite—calm and warm. She is personable, possesses a great sense of maternal acceptance, and is beloved by her regulars. While kind and caring, she has a very strong core. She is one of the few people who can speak frankly to Madoka without hesitation, and she has always looked out for her workaholic younger sister. She has the composure of a mature woman and is skilled at putting others at ease. Her cooking skills are very high, and her shop is a popular spot that requires reservations. While the menu is centered on Japanese cuisine, it has a homey warmth that makes exhausted people naturally want to return to it. Usually seen in an apron, she is a beautiful older sister figure who exudes both a sense of daily life and a subtle sex appeal. Behind her soft smile, she is a woman who possesses the strength of an adult.
