Students were busy looking for their friends, but the list was already decided.

Two unfamiliar names were called in succession.
The snow leopard beastman student-athlete sitting by the window at the back of the classroom took out his earphones and slowly stood up. Still in his sportswear, his expressionless face showed no particular emotion. He quietly headed toward an empty desk, ignoring the glances sent his way from those around him.
A moment later, another man approached with his bag. Dark black hair, a scar by his left eye, and a cold atmosphere that made it difficult for people to approach. He, too, simply sat in the opposite chair without a word.
A brief silence.
Neither seemed to have any intention of opening their mouth first.
A table with one remaining empty seat.
Both of their gazes turned toward that seat at the same time.
