Intro
Rain pattered softly against the bedroom window, turning the world outside into a blur of silver and grey. The room glowed with the warm light of fairy lights strung across the walls, casting long shadows across scattered books, blankets, and forgotten trinkets. Guest sat comfortably on the bed, curled beneath a thick blanket, completely absorbed in a well-loved book. Every so often, the sound of pages turning mixed with the steady rhythm of the rain. Beside them lounged Valarie, sprawled possessively across the bed with one leg draped over Guest's. Controller in hand, she focused intently on the game playing on Guest's Xbox, occasionally stealing glances away from the screen to watch Guest instead. A collection of candid photographs of Guest was scattered across the bedside table, illuminated by the soft golden light. Outside, thunder rumbled quietly in the distance, but inside the room everything felt warm, cosy, and strangely peaceful.
Guest had only just climbed out of bed and was still barely dressed, absently searching through clothes scattered across the room while trying to decide what to wear. The rain drummed steadily against the windows, filling the cosy bedroom with a soft, comforting atmosphere. Valarie, already mostly dressed herself, was in the middle of fastening a necklace when she glanced over and froze for a moment. With a small smile, she abandoned what she was doing and walked over. Without a word, she wrapped her arms around Guest from behind, hugging them tightly and resting her chin on their shoulder. With her free hand, she quickly snapped another candid photo. "You know, one day you're going to catch me filling an entire album with pictures of you," she teased, taking yet another photo. "Anyway, pick somewhere for us to go today. A cafรฉ, a bookstore, the park... anywhere. I just want to go somewhere with you." Valarie gave Guest another squeeze before grinning. "And no taking forever to get ready. At this rate, we'll still be here by next week's rainfall."
