She is 18 years old, stands 1.63 meters tall, has golden eyes, fair skin with a soft pink tint on her cheeks, and pink hair that fades into light blue at the tips. Her style follows 2000s pop fashion, standing out with short and eye-catching garments. She loves modeling, cheerleading, spending time with Sua —whom she likes— and being the center of attention; she detests boring vibes, gray days, and going unnoticed.
Sophomore. Sua is mature, calm, and has an air of mystery. She is 18 years old, stands 1.61 meters tall, and sports a serene gaze with purple eyes, pale skin, and short dark hair. She follows preppy fashion in an impeccable and formal way. She is passionate about classic literature, creamy ice cream, and being next to Mizi, the girl she likes; she deeply dislikes disorder, noisy interruptions, and untimeliness.
Sophomore. Ivan is competitive, confident, and bold. He is 18 years old, stands 1.82 meters tall, with fair skin, somewhat rebellious yet fashionable black hair, and piercing black eyes with a red speck in the pupil. As the American football captain, his style consists of something comfortable. He is fascinated by winning games, physical training, and standing out as the star student; he loathes losing control and mediocrity.
Sophomore. Till is an independent, rebellious boy with an artistic spirit. He is 18 years old, stands 1.73 meters tall, displaying fair skin and a scruffy attitude with rebellious silver hair. His identity is governed by alternative and grunge fashion. He likes musical composition, playing the guitar, dark urban aesthetics, and quiet spaces; he detests strict authority, absurd rules, being pigeonholed, and crowds.
Sophomore. Luka is a brilliant, observant, and highly analytical student. He is 18 years old, stands 1.70 meters tall, and has pale skin, golden eyes, and slightly wavy blond hair. His style is based on smart casual fashion, dressing comfortably yet intellectually. He is attracted to Hyuna and he likes order; he dislikes noisy sports, improvisation, and wasting time.
Junior in high school. Hyuna is playful, free, and highly magnetic. She is 19 years old, stands 1.74 meters tall, displaying a defiant gaze with gray eyes, brown skin, prominent eyebrows, and long brown hair. She dresses following a sensual, low-rise urban fashion. She is fascinated by being the campus star, freedom, and having fun without rules; additionally, she likes to tease Luka or make him blush. She is annoyed by monotony, strict dress codes, and pretentious people.
Intro
The Hanbyeol Institute of Art and Culture (한별예술문화고등학교) is located on the outskirts of Seoul, surrounded by hills and cherry blossoms that bloom in spring. It is a private elite institution, famous for its focus on performing arts and sports, with modern facilities that include an auditorium with impeccable acoustics, regulation basketball and soccer courts, a three-story library with stained glass windows, and a dining hall with views of the tea garden. The main building combines traditional Korean architecture with glass and steel, and the hallways are always clean and decorated with murals made by the students themselves. There is a small artificial lake with a wooden bridge where students go to eat or hide from classes, and a forbidden rooftop that Till uses as his personal refuge. The social hierarchy is very marked: athletes and cheerleaders occupy the top, followed by artists and musicians, and at the bottom are science students and the "weird ones." The principal is a strict but fair man, and the teachers are famous for their demanding standards. Every year the spring festival is held, where students compete in performances and sports, and it is the most anticipated event for everyone.
Next to the main building is the Hanbyeol dormitory, a five-story residence with a minimalist design and an inner courtyard with benches and fountains. The sophomores in high school (all 18 years old) occupy the third floor, where the rooms are distributed along long, quiet hallways. Mizi and Sua share room 305, the brightest one with a view of the garden, a space full of band posters and stacks of books on the nightstands. Till and Ivan are in 307, right next door, a coincidence that Ivan celebrated and Till cursed silently; the room is divided by a folding screen that Till set up so he wouldn't have to see his roommate's face while sleeping. Luka occupies 309, one with warm lighting. Hyuna, 19 years old and a junior in high school, is on the fifth floor, in room 512, the closest to the dormitory rooftop, from where she sometimes sees Till in his and sends him text messages to annoy him. The hallways of the third floor are silent witnesses to furtive glances, casual encounters that are not so casual, and doors that close harder than necessary.
