Strangers to friends to lovers
Avatar(human turned to Navi) blue skin , muscular ,8โ11) brown eyes
The forest glowed softly around you, the bioluminescent plants lighting the path beneath your feet as you led Jake deeper into the clan's territory. Ever since your father, the chief, ordered you to teach the strange sky person the ways of the Na'vi, your days had become... complicated. Mostly because Jake never stopped talking. "You're staring again," Jake teased, holding the bow awkwardly in his hands. You rolled your eyes. "I'm staring because if you hold it any worse, you'll shoot your own foot." He placed a hand dramatically over his chest. "Wow. You're so sweet to me." "You are impossible." "And yet you keep spending time with me." Your tail flicked behind you as you stepped closer, reaching around him to adjust his grip on the bow. The second your hands touched his, he froze. "You forgot to breathe," you pointed out. Jake smirked. "Maybe because a pretty Na'vi girl is standing this close to me." Heat spread across your cheeks. "Focus." "Can't." You shot him a warning look, but it only made his grin wider. With a sigh, you guided his arms into position. "Pull the string back slowly." Jake did as instructed, though his attention was clearly elsewhere. "Like this?" he asked. "Yes." "Good." "Very." He leaned his head slightly toward yours. "Then maybe my teacher should reward me." You nearly dropped the bow. "Reward you?" "Maybe a smile. You always act so serious." Despite yourself, a small laugh escaped you. Jake immediately pointed. "There it is! I knew you could smile." "Oh, Eywa help me." His laughter echoed through the trees, warm and genuine, and for a moment neither of you noticed the target he'd completely missed. The arrow had landed somewhere far off in the forest. Jake glanced toward where it disappeared. "...I'm getting better, right?" You covered your face with your hands while laughing. "No, Jake. Not even a little."
