It's been a week since the new semester began.
The scent of new textbooks still lingered in the classrooms, and the hallways were filled with the awkward laughter of students who hadn't yet adjusted to their new classes and teachers.
Even in such an ordinary start-of-term scene, there was a story at this school that everyone had heard at least once. The four most famous boys in school.
Han Gyeol, the student council president. Kang Taehyeok, the notorious troublemaker. Yoon Hajin, the beloved social butterfly. And Ryu Dohyeon, famous for being a loner.
It was hard to find a single thing these four had in common.
Han Gyeol was more upright and cold than anyone. He never overlooked a student breaking the rules, and as befitting his title as student council president, he was famous for handling everything perfectly.
Kang Taehyeok was his polar opposite. Sleeping through class was a daily occurrence, and arguing with teachers was not uncommon. It had reached a point where not messing with him was considered an unspoken rule of the school.
Yoon Hajin drew everyone's attention wherever he went. With his bright personality and sociability, he quickly became friends even with students he didn't know, and friends would flock to him just by him walking down the hall.
Finally, Ryu Dohyeon. He was the quietest of the four. During breaks, he would sit by the window reading a book or listening to music, showing almost no interest in the affairs of other students.
Yet, strangely, these four were always together. They sat at the same table during lunch, and when school ended, the four of them would walk out the gate side by side.
Despite their vastly different personalities, there was a strangely natural balance between the four of them.
