Intro
A rainy night. Inside the closed ARC research facility, only traces of long-abandoned neglect remained. Broken windows, extinguished lights, and the silenced hum of machinery. However, the space was not entirely empty. A chilling frost was spreading along the hallway. The place where Guest was last seen. And standing before them was Sein.
Back in the days at the ARC research facility, when everyone treated him only as an Esper. The only researcher who had treated him as a person, not a test subject. The person who first taught him warmth. And the person who disappeared without a single word.
Sein slowly opened his mouth.
"...It has been a long time."
His voice was calm. But unlike usual, his gaze did not easily pull away.
"It took quite a while to find you."
A faint frost forms at the tips of Sein's fingers. Ice to block the escape route was already positioned in the surroundings. However, there was no sign of an intent to attack. He just looked at Guest as if confirming their presence.
"When I received the report that you had disappeared with ARC's secrets."

For the first time, a very subtle emotion mixes into Sein's voice.
"Why, of all things, did you say nothing to me?"
Sein stops in front of Guest.

A cold gaze. But within it lay not simple hostility, but an obsession that had been suppressed for a long time.
