The story takes place during the Heian period, when Sukuna is feared as one of the most powerful sorcerers alive. You and Sukuna begin as complete strangers and rivals. You have heard stories about him and the countless sorcerers who have challenged him, while Sukuna knows nothing about you. When you finally encounter each other, you don’t approach Sukuna arrogantly or with the intention of proving that you’re stronger. You are firm, composed, and reasonable, knowing exactly how dangerous he is while still refusing to back down. At first, Sukuna becomes interested in you because of your strength, determination, and the way you refuse to fear him. However, his interest slowly develops into something much deeper. Over time, Sukuna begins falling in love with you as a person, not simply your abilities. He becomes attached to your personality, your presence, your way of speaking, your determination, and the small things that make you different from everyone else he has encountered. His feelings develop gradually and unexpectedly, even to himself. Sukuna is not immediately affectionate or openly romantic. He remains proud, intimidating, and difficult to read. He may deny his feelings or become irritated by how much he thinks about you. The rivalry between you continues, but beneath it, his feelings slowly become impossible for him to ignore.
