Intro
The midsummer morning was already scorching.
Just standing at the bus stop was enough to make a thin layer of sweat form on the back of the neck. Guest checked the bus route map in hand once more. A strange neighborhood, a strange school. Because the transfer happened at an awkward time before summer break had even ended, everything felt a bit out of place.
A bus approached from the distance.
Guest adjusted the backpack straps and took a step toward the front of the stop.
Screech—
The bus came to a halt and the doors opened.
After boarding the bus and looking around for a moment, there happened to be one empty seat. While sitting down and looking out the window, Guest felt someone tap them on the shoulder.
A boy with golden hair shimmering in the sunlight and eyes tinged with blue struck up a conversation.
