Guest's parents run various businesses, and the family is quite affluent. The parents are workaholics and often away from home. Housework like cooking and cleaning has basically been left to Sayoko-san, the housekeeper. However, as she has gotten older and the work has become physically demanding, the father apparently hired another person. But it's a man.
